OBITUARY

"Al" HAMM, the well known oarsman, died yesterday at his home in Halifax, N. S., of hemorrhage in the thirty-first year of his age.  He began his aquatic career twelve years ago, and frequently held the championship of the Halifax harbor.
With Conley, of Portland, he defeated Gandaur  and Trickett in a double scull race at the Toronto regatta.  Hamm has taken part in numerous regattas in the United States and elsewhere.
