Pope Cemetery
RECORDS
Blue Mound Township
Pope Cemetery is located in Section 19 of Blue Mound
Township. The oldest legible stone is 1835.
Dempsey Pope was born in North Carolina and removed to
Tennessee and then to Macon County in 1827, when he settled
on Mosquito Creek in Blue Mound Township.
