Wheeler Cemetery

The Wheeler Cemetery is located in Section 34 of Oakley Township just East of Rea's Bridge on County Highway 24 approximately 2 miles East of County Highway 1.  The cemetery is on a hill.
It is named for the Garland Wheeler family who was native of Virginia and his wife who was of Bullett Co., Kentucky.  They moved to Oakley Township in 1834 where they purchased 240 acres of prairie land and 80 acres of timber land.  They were parents of 13 children.
